A Post-Holiday Getaway At the Most Iconic (and Central) Spot
The Edgewater is at the center of all things winter fun, so stay and play at Madison’s Place. No matter what day of the week you choose to stay, we’ve got you covered with amazing accommodations, state-of-the-art spa amenities, mouthwatering dining options and the never-ending possibilities that Madison has to offer. What adventure will you choose?
After starting your week off strong, sit down at Augie’s Tavern and enjoy a strong winter cocktail. From our Holiday Old Fashioned to our Mistletoe Margarita, we make it easy to relax the night away. Still got some pep in your step? Swing by a show at The Overture, less than a ten-minute walk away from our front steps.
While you probably know about the famous Chazen Museum of Art on the UW-Madison campus, how about the two secret campus museums: the UW Geology Museum & UW Physics Museum? Discover Wisconsin’s deep history at the kid-friendly UW Geology Museum where you can touch rocks from a time when there were volcanoes in Wisconsin, and see corals, jellyfish and other sea creatures that swam where we now walk. Or, just a few blocks over, the Physics Museum offers hands-on experiences in a demonstrational, kid-friendly environment.
Get out in the fresh air this week! We make ice skating both cozy and luxurious at The Icehouse, with spectacular views of Lake Mendota, firepits to stay warm, and delicious winter drinks. Bring the whole family or plan a romantic date to skate under the stars with us.
Winter is here… so buckle up and head over to Elver Park for a day of winter fun — sledding, anyone? Afterward, heat up with a cup of cocoa.
An end-of-the-week treat is in order! Stroll on over to MMOCA, located on nearby State Street, and experience extraordinary art in their eye-opening, exquisite galleries. Oh, and did we mention it’s free? After soaking in the culture, head back to The Edgewater for a meal to remember at The Statehouse.
