Dave Stoler is a native of Madison, WI. One of the busiest keyboardists in the area, Dave works with his own jazz trio, the Tony Castaneda Latin Jazz Sextet. In addition, he performs a solo gig regularly at Samba Brazilian Grill, located in downtown Madison. He has also performed with his trio at Smalls Jazz Club in New York City. His recording, titled "Urban Legends" is available on cdbaby.com, itunes, and numerous other vendors. He was a semifinalist in the Thelonious Monk Piano Competition, The American Jazz Piano Competition, and a finalist in the Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition. He received a Master Of Music Degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Miami-Coral Gables.
Cliff Frederiksen is a nationally known guitarist and singer who has worked with numerous world-class artists such as Diahann Carroll, Nancy Wilson, Willie Nelson, Bobbie Gentry, Chuck Berry, and Ike and Tina Turner.
Cliff is mighty versatile - he knows just about every jazz standard ever written, and can also play great blues and country.
He also teaches guitar ands jazz studies at U.W. Baraboo/ Sauk County Campus.
The Cove Lounge also plays host to pianist David Bicknase.

David Bicknase is the resident pianist in the Edgewater Hotel’s Cove Lounge. David has performed in the Cove Lounge since 1996.
David Bicknase has studied piano since 1953. He has performed consistently either solo or with bands since 1960. David’s diversity is represented in the selections he can play that range from rock to show tunes, from classical to big band. David has composed many of his own songs, and has six CD’s available for purchase.
UW Home Football Saturdays and New Years eve will feature the jazz piano of David Bicknase and friends!

Throughout the 1950`s, Madison, Wisconsin`s Edgewater was the place to listen and dance to the nation`s most popular big bands. Although their peak years had passed, artisans of swing remained popular well into the first years of the rock and roll revolution. The Edgewater provided a classy venue for the genre`s biggest names and a lavish dance floor on its open Starlite Roof, as well as the more intimate Rigadoon Dining Room. This second volume of the restored Edgewater recordings preserves the sound of three celebrated bands of that period. Tex Beneke's appearance of July 14, 1952, Ralph Flanagan's performance on August 27, 1951, and a rousing August, 1957 show by the innovative Stan Kenton, capture the live sounds of swing and improvisational jazz. This album captures an era when big bands, soon to be eclipsed by smaller rock and roll combos, still drew a large crowd onto the nation's dance floors.
